DOG WORLD Magazine Cover - May 2010

The May 2010 edition of DOG WORLD Magazine features a Little Friends Photo of a Pug Puppy racing down a hillside! This is very exciting news for photographer Seth Casteel as DOG WORLD is one of the most prestigious dog magazines in the world. Congrats to the Pug Puppy and his owner! The magazine is available in all major pet stores and book stores.

"This was an outstanding photo shoot! Excellent weather. Energetic puppies. Lots of assistants to help. A snowy mountain in the background! When this shot was taken, I knew it was a cover! It was interesting to see such a determined expression from an 8-week old Pug Puppy."

JEOPARDY! - Mexican Hairless Dog

A Little Friends Photo was featured on JEOPARDY! - America's Favorite Quiz Show, on Monday, March 22nd, 2010. Over 9 million people tuned in to watch the show. The next day, Little Friends received 9 million phone calls and booked 9 million photo shoots. Just kidding. Wouldn't that be crazy! Here's the photo - did you see it? This rare dog breed is called a Mexican Hairless Dog or "Xoloitzcuintle", and is native to Mexico. "Xolos" as they are often called, were considered sacred dogs by the Aztecs (and also Toltecs, Mayans and some other groups) because they believed the dogs were needed by their masters’ souls to help them safely through the underworld. The doggie model in this photo is named Fiona. She resides in Los Angeles and and is owned by Scott Leibow. Congrats to both Fiona and Scott!

TAILS Pet Magazine Cover - Lisa Ling

It was a pleasure to photograph Lisa Ling for the February 2010 edition of TAILS Pet Magazine. The photo shoot took place at the beautiful Topanga State Park in Los Angeles and featured a litter of adorable Shepherd-mix puppies from the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter. We had a great time and I'm happy to report that all of the puppies have found forever homes!

Special Thanks to Lisa for all that she does to make this world a better place, including her support of animals. Lisa is known for her role as a co-host of ABC's The View (from 1999–2002), host of National Geographic Explorer, reporter on Channel One News, and special correspondent for CNN and the Oprah Winfrey Show, where she investigated the hidden world of puppy mills, exposing the truth that so many people deserved to know.
